Australija – SkyCity gauna žalią šviesą Adelaidės plėtrai

SkyCity’s plans to redevelop its Adelaide casino to the tune of A$300m have been approved in conditions with the operator having to ensure that the construction of an 11-storey building will not restrict views of the heritage-listed railway station.
The Development Assessment Commission revealed it was happy that the proposal met key objectives of the Riverbank zone and Entertainment Policy area.
It wants to ensure that the design is visually discrete.
SkyCity Chief Executive Nigel Morrison said the project would include a 80-room hotel on the banks of the River Torrens, gaming suites for international VIP players and signature restaurants as well as a 24-storey office tower, restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and a 1560-space underground car park.
Mr. Morrison said: “Our Adelaide Casino development will help South Australia attract a greater share of high-value international visitors, particularly from China and South-East Asia. This development will help transform Station Road into a true entertainment precinct, and SKYCITY’s investment will create much-needed jobs and economic growth for South Australia and complement the redeveloped Adelaide Oval and the new and expanded Adelaide Convention Centre.”
